The Dancing With Sea Lions public art project was born in 2016 in celebration of the 20 year anniversary of the Florence Events Center. Twenty artists were selected to paint twenty life size sea lion sculptures, which were all displayed publicly along the Oregon Coast for the first six months. Then they were sold to businesses and individuals as a fundraiser for the Florence Events Center.  Fifteen of them are still on public display where everyone can visit them.
